SKEO certified with Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO), is one of the producers of Crude Palm Kernel Oil (CPKO) and exporters of palm kernel expeller (PKE) products in Malaysia, especially palm kernel oil. Our palm kernel oil is traded according to the Malaysian Edible Oil Manufacturers’ Association (MEOMA) specifications.
Crude palm kernel oil is an edible plant oil derived and extracted from the soft part of the oil palm seed (the inner part). It resembles the coconut oil in composition and characteristics. In the crude form, it is yellowish in colour and can be easily refined to a lighter-coloured oil, suitable for both edible and inedible applications. Palm kernel oil has higher melting point and contains a smaller amount of fatty acid with lower molecular weight than lauric acid. Among the major oils and fats in world trade, palm kernel oil is one of the lauric oils. They are called “lauric” because lauric acid is the major fatty acid in their composition. The fatty acid composition ranges from six carbon chains to 20 carbon chains
